Windows Driver cleaner

    Afternoon all!

    Very quick query this time (makes a change for me) - can anyone recommend a decent (free, if possible) program for removing old unused drivers from the system?

    I'm thinking mainly about getting rid of the leftovers following hardware changes, for example.

    I don't think it does drivers though. At least not from what I could tell.

    Such tools ideally be used if you have problems uninstalling/installing drivers so if you successfully installed drivers for hardware changes and doesn't impact then you don't need to run these tools.

    Oh - did not know that...

    Do the older drivers not just then sit clogging up the system?

    Most driver components are removed by the uninstaller. There can be remnants left behind though, hence why these tools exist.

    These days for the most part you can just trust the uninstaller, unless you've got an actual problem you are observing.
