Ah, on Battle.net there are different editions. As you say though, the cheapest is still £34, which is £4 more expensive than getting everything! Not even counting the bonus stuff that could be sold for £20 back.

Assassins Creed Odyseey is £25.99 on amazon, cheaper than ubisoft even with their 20% extra off.

Cheers. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't some weirdness from "UK account but in Japan" - which has confused the hell out of them before now.

The silence here tells me the STEAM sale this year isn't very exiting…

Don't think the Christmas sale has started yet. Normally a few days before, rumours for 20th Dec this year.

Even so, people are catching on that it isn't like it used to be. Steam were destroying the PC market, then around 2011 I think they reigned it in. RRP didn't drop as fast and discounts stopped being 90% or 85% as much. Now it's '75% off' that's the benchmark.

But it was a bit late because by then GoG had appeared, they're usually cheaper than Steam on RRP and sale price. Then there are the key sites which pretty much sell games at a level Steam used to. Steam had gained such a customer base though that they can still get by on the name. There are acutally people who refuse to buy a game unless it's on Steam, like they're indoctrinated.

Steam doesn't control what the normal price is, when stuff gets discounted or by how much... that is all on whoever publishes the game.

Maybe it wasn't back then, because they hated it. Now it is, hence the change?
