    Slight spending spree on a brief visit back to the UK, a RAB Valiance down jacket, a pair of Meindl Bhutan boots and this;

    A Helle Utvaer knife for day to day farm use, very impressed with it so far. Sharp enough out the box that I haven't bothered to sharpen it myself. Once it needs it I'll run it over the whetstones finishing with a 10000 grit.

    I tried to get ahold of one of the ickle Dells for the group test I'm doing, but had no joy. (Other sytems I tried and failed to get: ECS Liva (I was offered one but without CPU, and you can't find the compatible CPUs for love nor money in the UK), HP Elite Slice, couple of NUCs from Scan.)

    That's a TB16 Thunderbolt 3 dock, not an ickle PC, although it really does look like it.

    It's actually a little bigger than your average NUC-type box

    POp into a decent sized Tesco when you next can, they stock Bundaberg root beer, which is rather nice, although maybe slightly lacking in bite

    TBF, I did think that was an ickle PC, trying to decide if I "need" a mini PC, or just pile pennies at the lazer and see if I can make it run full ninja quiet but the flurry of super skinny ITX boards is not helping matters.

    You are not the only one Sir, I was also thinking it was a small NUC-type system on first look

    A half pound of pewter. Finally finishing that knife.

    Apparently Pewtarex isn't pewter. It's aluminum. The search goes on.

    You just described my October 2018, except I had a dying Nexus 6p instead of a Oneplus 5.

    Been eyeing up one of these for my next build, might bite if they're low enough in price.

    Just trying to decide if 250 will be enough for the boot drive, all my steam is on another larger ssd anyway.

    Now i'm trying to decide if i even need one to shave a few seconds boot time off...
