Why not get the Evo plus? A lot faster, as if most people needed that, for just a little more.

    /edit: spelling, stupid phone.

Meh. Money mind has taken over. Sticking with ssds.

Perhaps that may change tomorrow.

Depending on how trim you keep your windaz install 250 can be fine. I've not had an issue even with 128 way back when. It's nice to press the power button and have a ready to use pc in less than 30 seconds with an nvme. Not that regular ssds were that slow in comparison.

Although it has ruined me for older machines. I can't remember how I coped with IDE drives..

Yeah i currently have a 240/250 boot SSD. TBH it boots and is ready to go in less than 30 seconds so i'm not sure the nvme is worth it for me - that pc (and its eventual replacement) is only for gaming.

I guess i'm still hoping for that HDD to SSD hit - I guess that won't happen until the day you press the button and it's just, bang, on and it removes all game loading times.

Yeah, if I'd not come into the nvme free I'd not have bothered.

Still, I do feel the need to replace it as it's an OEM one with no means of monitoring the TBW which makes me paranoid.

Well I was going to get this lot from SGS engineering as they're cheaper like for like.
But I had a wodge of vouchers for my 20 years @ work, was struggling to think of what to do with them, so it made sense to traipse into Hereford and after some fun n games with my trade card they worked out cheap enough.

Which is bigger than I envisaged, to the point I'm wondering what the flippin' Nora have I done, it's a nice big of kit mind, well screwed together.

It's been a fair while since I treated myself to anything nice, so:

Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation. £13.57 on AliExpress, and they get pretty decent reviews. I mean, they're no Bose, but they're also an order of magnitude cheaper and should be fine for listening to MP3s/Netflix/Amazon Prime Video in the bath while attenuating the extractor fan a bit.

Luckily not, I just love orange and Cthulhu. The tie is for private use, i.e. marriages.
