So I've picked up revenant titan, anyone built one before and have any tips?

On a slightly related manner, does anyone have any battered or broken beyond repaid tanks or walkers etc that they're looking rid of?

    That's a nice model! Congrats.

Some day, I'll get something big and proper from FW, but not any time soon :D

Also, Abbadon has finally been revealed and oh he is a stunning sculpt!

It really is an impressive piece. I like the fact that the cloak is optional.

    He's a hefty size too.

That's just the right combination of new and old.

    I want to paint it!

Yup, he's a big lad. I'd like to see him up against Guilliman, size-wise

The only issue I have with the model is the Disney cartoon-esque faces on the sword... It REALLY distracts from the overall grimdark feel imo. If it were me (and it wont - lord knows I have neither the time nor money for an hobby like 40K right now), I would fill it in smooth and paint runes or proper daemon faces on it.

I really like the new chaos stuff. Enough to give little kiddiwinks nightmares today I imagine.

He makes a very valid point. The whole restricted issue and limited issue stuff with GW is causing a lot of problems with price scalping on the secondary market. And it is not just things like this , it's things like models only be available in specific sets, especially for those of us who don't care to play and have no need for all the books, cards, counters and so on.

I think the reason GW does nothing is because they don't give a ****.

If all copies of the book sell to one person, GW doesn't care, GW has the money GW wanted to make off that product.

GW's pricing has always been laughable (I accept that it has to pay for development costs, manufacturing equipment, etc - But with the kits that are as old as the sun still going up in price, that's not exactly going to need to be a concern anymore) so it's not too far a leap of imagination to assume they don't give a donkeys left nut about the customer.

Now if only they would hurry up with releasing models separately from the big money sets so that we don't have to go via the secondary market for those as well...

and he shows a 3d printed Warlord off as a 'good' example of a Titan

i didnt have the heart to tell him

My biggest issue with 3D printed models is that, realistically there will always be a print line somewhere.

Having spent literally weeks cleaning up a comparatively easy item, I dread to think how long it'd take to sand and fill all the compound curves and tiny details on a complex model like this.
