    The Agilex is an interesting part: mixed process blocks (10nm & 14nm), HBM, and PCIE 5.0 (on a discrete chiplet) all connected through EMIB.

    If the TDP remains at or below that of two 8280s it is effectively comprised of (which are individually rated at 205W), it remains a net gain in packing density.

    Why are data centers not housed in hotel basements where they share the heating bills instead of wasting all the costly heat?

    Some have been using the heat for years already:

    But there are practical limitations, if you want it to work properly on a large scale you will basically have to copy the Copenhagen district heating system:

    And then feed the heat from data centers into that.

    This is clearly to combat AMDs upcoming 64c/128t EPYC chip. Still behind, and I think that they are going to lose more and more as time goes on. XD
