After about 3 years, I decided to finally take the plunge and have my wheels powder coated. The factory finish was wearing thin and I curbed one of my wheels early into its life.

This is what they looked like originally compared to now.

Appreciate dude! I've had it for three years now. It's been an awesome car. 23,000 miles so far.

Looks really nice with the White Rims but I think I prefer it with the Black Rims, but I suppose it stands out more with the White ones.

I cannot wait to get some new wheels and then have them powder coated Black with like a copper flake, but I know once that is done I am then going to want a paint job for the car followed by full suspension, new exhaust system with a decent air intake, turbo and cooling upgrade, followed by a remap and full audio upgrade and maybe a M3 bodykit.

The color is actually Willow Grey, what's cool is the color changes depending on the light; the color pulls a lot from the blue of the car when it's really bright out. Here's a close up picture

I'll have to stick a white piece of paper next to them and take a picture, you're not the first person to confuse them with white, LOL.

Dude, that sounds awesome. You can do a lot of sweet things with powder coat. I'm not sure what I'd like to do next. I'm thinking some engine dress up as I go to car shows during the summer. I'd like to have some parts powder coated in the same willow grey.

And it looks quite expensive. How much was it, if I may ask?

It appears to cost around £250. Can buy many bottles of nice beer for that...

Not quite, $250 with a Glenlivet Master Distiller's reserve 3x5cl sample box as a bonus gift, hit the card as £191 so works out as a pretty good deal. If a $250 bottle of whisky can ever be a "good deal"

If you like a tipple, yes. If you neck a bottle out of a brown paperbag, notsomuch.

£80 is the limit for brown bagging it.

    IMO.

If that's a euphemism i'm not sure whether that is good or bad value.

If it's a euphemism I don't get it either! I meant anything below £80 is suitable for brown bagging and above is fine for necking from the bottle with no disguise because clearly you have taste.

A bag of assorted zip ties, and some of this stuff
    [IMG]

It's ruddy marvellous. Just been on a cable tidying mission inside my Ncase M1 and it's made a massive difference. Didn't end up using the zip ties in the end as the velcro roll ended up being sufficient. Where has this been all of my life? :D

Next mission is to cable tidy the desk and surrounding area. Just as well there's about 4.5m of this 5m roll left!
