Over the last two (!) decades my Film watching has been sporadic, infrequent and prone to looooooong gaps; so would be great to know what shows I should (have) watch(ed). I'll give anything a go, but lean towards Science-Fiction as my go-to genre. Don't worry about stating the obvious, as I expect I will have missed some of them! Sister thread for TV series
Interstellar and The Martian and Inception immediately spring to mind, I also enjoyed Gravity but wouldn't recommend it as highly.
I really enjoyed Shazam! recently. I'd definitely give it a watch. The new Power Rangers was surprisingly good, if you fancy a nostalgia trip and happened to grow up with Power Rangers. Logan was excellent, and easily the best X-Men film in a long while. Blade Runner 2049 was pretty good, I'd recommend having seen the original too, but if not I think it's fairly.. Self explanatory. Although may produce some googling after the fact. Venom was.. I dunno, I found it fun but I wasn't expecting much so perhaps I was just pleasantly surprised. The Accountant was one of my favourite Ben Affleck outings in recent memory. I enjoyed Denzel in The Equalizer too. Admittedly not much on the sci-fi side, but.
