Hi guys, its about time I started posting a project again.
I would like to intronduce you to something where I am taking a totally differenet approach than I usually do. All those who follow my stuff know that I preach hand made rather than using automation. Well that is true for my art, but of course when building for clients or customers on basically on order I of course use lasers and 3d printers as well as other available automation.
This case is an example of both extensive handmade stuff and a lot of laserd parts and making a lot opf junk look like its space age technology from the future.
YES, After all those cultural mods I made like SPARTACUS or RAGNAR, or LAGERTHA or the SAMURAI, it now time to make something clean and sterile again.
So I am off into space with the Seasonic QUASAR.
It is also the first time I am not actually using just elements of a theme, I am actually building a model as a PC.
BUT!!!!!, being me and living by my philosophy of "I DESIGN, SO I AM", of course I will make my own designed ship.
Of course it would have been easier to pull plans out of the net and start building one of those great Star Wars or Star trek ships we all love.
But I though, am I the designer or am I just gonna copy others. Nope, no sireee, Its goning to by my own design, while of course being a trekky and SW fan, I am indeed influenced. So of course there is a lot of referncial stuff to be had and we fans are all compromised in that sense. But however. Here is my version of a spaceship with all the resmblances and greebly details of many a ship we all know.
    Lets conquer space......:)

    Boarding has started :)
As I already mentioned its a Seasonic project. Tehy approached my at the Gamescom last year and we discussed promoting their hardware and especially the PSU.
The first things everyone said was build an oversized PSU. But simply because thats what they all said, I wont do it. Am a stubborn s.o.a.bi....:)
While we usually hide the PSU, I decided to integrate on into the Spaceship and also use many parts like the power sockets and the fan grills etc.. as parts for the ship.
The PCI and ATX sockets from the PSU will become little windows with glass fibre leds giving it the illusion of size for instance and the grills will decorate the neck and.. well I will get the woodwork started first. Then I have something to build the greebles on :)

Not a single 90% angle to be seen. :D I like you for that. You don't cut corners when you are cutting corners... Wait, what?

hey guys, yeah I have a project again... cant really live without them.
yes cheap,,,,you are one of the rarae people who realise that. 90° is for pu..........,,,,,eh beginners.:)
i simply have to make it as hard as possible as usual.
this one is certainly gonna be detailed as you can now see. here are some of the greebles.

some of the things i am using are pens n biros, elctrician quick connectors, water filters, of course the seasonic sockets, golf balls, door buts, capacitors and resistor, and a thousand other pieces of lying around thingamajigs n junk.
am surprised how ell they are all turning out .
so far only primed so the grey color is not the final of course..

New game Cheaspskate, hidden treasure in the greebles.
Fantastic work. My first impression was that a model maker from Paramount outsource the greebling to ILM
