    Hello all

Since moving to Win 10 a while ago, my sound has suffered on every single Win 10 update.
After each update I will boot my PC and I can guarantee that my sound will have stopped working, and the only way this can be fixed is by uninstalling the software followed by a fresh install

I have tried to look into this but I have not got anywhere! So my hopes lie with the skilled folk on this forum.

I am currently running WIn 10 64 bit, and my Soundcard is a Soundblaster Z

Has anyone else come across this or knows of a fix.
Maybe there are better soundcard options out there for me to look at?

IIRC it is or was a known issue with Creative cards... one Creative appear not to have bothered fixing [or at least they do;t appear to have for the Z]...

Thank you for the reply's. I am starting to believe it could be a creative problem. The soundcard works fine, until the point of any given update. To be honest, I bought this card as an upgrade from my XF-I Fatal1ty gamer card, but it does not sound as good IMO.

I may look for another card to replace this one

You could disable automatic driver updates. It does mean you'd have to check your other drivers for updates manually though.

Thanks. I have installed the drivers on a different HDD from the OS. Will see if it works
