    Keas, beaks like tin openers!
When I was in NZ living with the rellies, I had 2 run ins with them.
One was at the car park at the top of the Milford Sound tunnel,m where they were happily snapping off car aerials and pulling the windscreen rubber strips out.
The second was at Mount Cook youth hostel, where a couple came in overnight when a Kea bit its way into their tent and took a large chunk out of the sole on the lady's walking shoes.
IIRC they have red/orange feathers under their wings. Awesome destroyers.

Possums, forgot about them. My cousins used to shoot them on sight on the farm. I was upset the first time until I was put straight about them.
Pig hunting out in the bush was pretty hard core too, big black & hairy hogs with vicious tusks.
    Where'd that 30 years go? /old bugger

I just got home from a fun vacation with my cousins. I can't wait for my next break, time to go back to work tomorrow with a bit of motivation.

Depression slowly creeping in. I've been in bed for most of the time over the past three days (I knew it was coming). Not complaining, I did manage to buff out my frame and get it finished.

It just goes crazy in the light. The more light the more transparent, to the point you can see the silver base coat.

I've got all of the parts too, so as soon as I am done in the loft I can get to building it (when I feel like it).

We made it! I managed to get to our apartment on russia with the in-laws without any arguments or any real problems. This is the door to the apartment
    Think I'll be safe.

The apartment is amazing, so good for an air b&b.

However, we are sans one suitcase. :duh: Fortunately not mine, I guarded them like a hawk, but it's meant a small party have had to go back to the airport where we "think" it's been left.

In St. Petersburg. In an Irish bar :hehe: Our translator/guide has had to go to the airport, so we found somewhere we could get by with da, niet and spasiba. And they have wifi. Airplane mode definitely staying on the whole trip.

We're planning on a boat trip/tour at some point. Do you know if you can go see the navel base? Or is it "not here"?

Ooh not sure on that on mate - our guide was too busy telling us the origin of a Russian drinking mannerism based on the tattoo given to the guy who built it as we sailed past the Aurora.

British guns on that it turns out.

Getting fit again. It took me two weeks to strip about 2" off my waist, and I'm still going strong with the diet & exercise plan. I have no delusions of getting Yuge again, but it's nice to be strong and considerably less podgy.

At my worst about three years ago I had a 43" waist; it's currently around 37" and continuing to shrink.

Nice work! I, sadly, am going in the opposite direction, and am so massively unfit I get winded coming up the stairs. Whoops.
