Just back from a weekend away in West Dorset in a barn conversion that sleeps 18!
We went with 8 other couples to celebrate friends' 50th Birthdays for an autumn getaway.
It rained almost all the weekend, but we had a great time. The 1000 year old building was amazing, huge log burner, massive dining table and 9 bedrooms, all ensuite.
Plenty to eat & drink with great company; a walk to the local pub, where we pretty much took over the place and a wet walk at Burton Bradstock, where Broadchurch was filmed.

Finally got my OG Nvidia Titan working on the B450i Aorus motherboard...

It worked on every other MB I have yet would not work on that specific board. The board itself is working with every compatible GPU I have on hand... Yes one of those problems.

Fixed it by manually setting the PCI-e from auto to gen 2 in the bios. Why this worked I have no idea. I tried an older GTX 570 on the board and it worked fine with PCI-e set to auto. The Titan on my X470 board worked fine with it set to auto.... soooo, yeah.

Watching with amusement at the meltdown of the Fortnite players who cant do anything. It's like watching crack addicts in need of a fix.

The difference between private and NHS Healthcare is stark and scary. Since seeing my GP on Thursday 3rd, I've seen my surgeon for a consultation, been referred to a pain specialist for diagnosis and have just been booked in for the first procedure this coming Friday on private through my work scheme. The NHS appointment for the ultrasound from that GP referral is this thursday, which is actually really fast by NHS standards, but would then require a further wait to see a consultant for diagnosis and a further wait for the procedure, who knows how long that would have been. At least another month? You hear about the sorry state the NHS is in, see the dilapidated hospitals, but the time it takes for someone to be treated is just unreal, especially when compared to what it should be like.

It's some endpoint management software and oh joy. It backs up the user data, it restores user data, it rolls out software, it makes user machine swaps so damned easy.

Log the user in twice, with some waiting, and it's done. A monkey could do it. I love it.

Yeah it's been taters down here. Have had the rads on every day. Buy today I had to drag myself to the launderette. WTF I was thinking bringing two T-shirts for 7 days I'll never know.

Of course I totally over dressed, then had to slop the mile or so walk which I'm not good at. Then the sun decided to boil me. I was soaking in sweat time I got back.

Had to open all the windows.

    Sodding bipolar weather.

The cold grey murk and lack of Bright Sky Orb isn't so much of a problem, it's the bloody constant rain...
