Upload a JPEG straight from the camera to http://www.myshuttercount.com/ and it will tell you how many shutter actuations it has. Helpful when selling or buying used cameras, and just fun to know.

How many people are actually going to buy a $650 program? If you're just a hobbyist and don't need professional colour correction and stuff PaintShop Pro will do everything Photoshop will for a fraction of the price, and the Gimp for free. I think PSP is an ideal value, cheap, feature-rich but with a friendly intuititive interface unlike so many open-source apps.

To save time for others; that site is great but will not work for your Canon.

Just been linked to this web based tool http://www.zvork.fr/vls/ Lets you play around with studio lighting to see what effects you can get, probably no good to most but useful for beginners like me!

His reviews are very comprehensive. But his snarky comments can get rather annoying. Sometimes I think he forgets that there are other photographers out there who don't shoot the same way as him.

Yes :) That is exactly the charm of the film photography :) Kodak, Fuji , Ilford , Foma..
2012, Kodak announced the discontinuance of three color Ektachrome films (they killed all slides), but 2019 35 mm format of Ektachrome is available again.
