This is a custom Casio thing, moulded from the cheapest rubber specifically for the shape of the watch. There are no third-party alternatives, and the cheapest official replacement is £12 - otherwise I'd have had the thing on a NATO strap from day one.

iirc even on a stupid-money rolex the strap isn't part of the warranty...

You'll get some bollocks like 'excludes normal wear and tear', and they consider the strap breaking to be normal wear and tear.

If I can squeeze one of these onto the strap, that might be the solution. And at £3 for two is a lot cheaper than replacing the whole strap...

But then at least the strap only represents 10% of the overall cost.

    I mean, it's £800+... but it's still 10%

For the cost of servicing a Swiss watch you could replace a Casio every two months :hehe:

Not really, also, you'd have to ship it to Madeira.

That sounds like a great excuse for a trip to Madeira.

My house, my peaceful, quiet sanctuary is no longer my own, as my "temporary housemates" have returned. All of a sudden it feels very small and cramped again. God I hope their house goes through quickly. I have so loved the silence while rhey've not been here the last couple of weeks.

Also my mum fiancee keeps fiddling with the lights on the wreath and cocking up the timer.

I'm just wondering how long it will be, and how many/few drinks it will take, before you're shouting "if you mess with them lights one more time you'll be wearing that effin' wreath".

Youk know a good traditional christmas :)

I believe it was you who mentioned something about it when I posted about my watch.
Having spoken to a local watch place and they didn't seem that interested/hopeful they could sort it I'd actually be tempted to ship it!
