i believe he was refering to the chrome look of that particular hsf...
which WOULD be one of the only ones to suit this sublime work of art...

unless of course you could use chrome water....

    Mercury cooling solution?? :D
    Hmmmmmm

OK, me too. But what about the motherboard cover? How will you get the hot air away/out of it?

As most components will be cooled by water-blocks, there shouldn't be that much heat to get rid of I guess.

If the cover was made from chromed metal, you could have blocks, cleverly positioned on the back (plus a bit of arctic silver), to make contact with 'hot' components that are not cooled by water (eg FETs, RAM?, NIC chips...). Then the whole cover would act as a heat sink. :D

I am pretty sure G-gnome will have thought of something. Looks like he doesn't leave much to chance!!

G-gnome, thanks for not showing the full case after updates. With the level of detail you give, it is nice to still have a sense of mystery for the big finale ;)

    Max

True, but when I look at this article I wonder if it won't get to hot in there.

I don't doubt G-gnome has thought of that :hip:

    Case Logo

I've got a logo for the case now. It was done by my sister who is a senior graphic designer with Gentil Eckersley in Sydney. If you watch their showreel you'll even see a few of my photographs, as they did the design for my photography business back when I used to do it for a living. Work it Baby! [IMG]

She did it in about 2 min in illustrator after I explained where it would be going on the case. Here it is in white on a grey background.

    {param}

I'll be getting a couple of appliques made up to stick on the case so it'll just be the lettering on the clear plexi. I am thinking either a frosted or white. I'll get both done and see what it looks like.

I think it's smooth. You can also ingrave it in a green neon plexi panel, and light it up with leds... ;)

From what I see of the case, it looks wonderful.

I'm having trouble picturing the whole case. Do you think you could take a few shots zoomed out so you can see the whole case? Thanks
