Ahh... can't see those. May not look quite as 'bad' once the PSU's in. :)

It already is, it's mounted vertical behind where we would put have put optical drives.

Google the chassis if your bored, cooler master Sl600m.

    Happy 2020 peeps.

Also, my new 3D printer (Elegoo Mars) works perfectly! :D

There are 1000 layers in that print, each less than 2 thou thick! :jawdrop:

I've not paid much attention to the whole 3D printing thing but I took a quick look off the back of your post; I'm quite surprised you can get such detail from a £250 machine!

That's some fine printing. I've not followed the 3d printing scene as everything I've seen printed had been with thick layers.

How long did it take to run that off?

The nice thing about LCD SLA printing is that each layer takes the same amount of time, regardless of the detail - I think the rook takes about 4 hours to print.

I got an Elegoo Mars about a month ago, and I've been printing the heck out of it - it's so much easier to setup compared to a normal (FDM) 3D printer. I'm building a 3D printed lightsaber, and the amount of sanding needed is miniscule compared to FDM prints, mainly where the supports are attached.

As @Flibblebot says, it took around 4 hours. Currently trying a statue of the Mandalorian found on Artstation. (675 layers, around 2.5hrs)

Is the amount of layers pre set by the mesh your printing or is that something you can set yourself if you wanted a finer print?

If I ever clear enough space in the garage for my printer, I plan to print and paint this:

You can alter it yourself, but I think 0.05mm layers is about as fine as it goes.

    The transplant was successful.
