I'm still learning all of this stuff (that's good though, right?) So I am filling the M.2 slots on my board with SSDs. Meaning this is out. Am I right in assuming this is what I would need to run it into the board directly? This is it here. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lycom-PC...SAS-HD-36P-for-U-2-PCIe-NVMe-SSD/303193833854 One last thing. If it is correct do you have a line for a cheap one, preferably not in red? Cheers. It's this drive and cable I am using...
Correct. Finding one that ain't red is kinda tricky though... there are some green ones as well, but usually more expensive. I came across these that don't suffer the colour problem, but a quick google for the product name doesn't find any shops selling them. That bloody red one however is available under about 5 band names all over the place
How about using this.... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/283632257624 With the MSI key card I already have? Nice thing is it's got no back plate, so I won't need to remove it. And it's black and so is the MSI key.
The PCIE adapter card came. Bit annoyed it's that way as the cable goes off in the wrong direction. No magic smoke. Atto didn't seem right though. But Crystal is bang on spec. Now the boring stuff is over I will take a couple of days off and then get stuck in next week.
Hah I needed it for the week I had. Leaks, bad GPU risers and God knows what else lmao. Taking two days off now before going back.
