It's Warcraft 3. I bought it because I let a friend borrow my physical copy of W3+TFT years ago and never got it back. If you just wanted Warcraft 3 with slightly better graphics and no need to mess around in the registry to get widescreen working, it will tick your boxes.

If you salivated over all the pre-release stuff Blizzard put out, though, you will be disappointed.

Blizz seem to have made misstep after misstep in the last year.

For me, it runs OK for about four levels, then I need to restart or the game gets very jerky.

    I don't like the unified classic+Reforged, though.

I think this is the big issue, and one that refunds won't solve: everyone who didn't buy Reforged has still been shafted with all the broken bits of Reforged too. A bunch of stuff that worked yanked out and replaced with "maybe if you buy the game again then, at some point in the future, we might give you those features back".

Yup. Almost makes me want to find second-hand copies of the CD-ROM editions on ebay and patch to (last version that didn't require Battle.net) and no-CD it.

You'll be waiting a while, then, I think. ;) Or are Blizzard selling it on Amazon/anywhere other than Battle.net?

Last november was the first time the original CoD went down to £5.99 and that was 13 or so years after launch, just to give you a time reference for how long it takes Acti-Blizzard games to get that low.
