It's laudable that you're working on such things but I would heed the advice regarding face masks in that if worn incorrectly they can do more harm than good; not only in being a place for the virus to collect, but in giving people a false sense of safety.
I was under the impression they are best worn by people with the virus so as not to spread it. If you haven't then, like you say, they help to collect it as they get damp pretty quick. Although, i guess they stop you touching your face. Edit: unless they're proper, fitted masks
Well the youngest daughter of my mum's best friend is the first person I know to be a confirmed case. She'll be fine (early 20s, fit and healthy) but she's under house arrest in France until further notice so her mum is doing her nut about it, as mums do. Of course, any good business knows that building trust with your prospective customers and neighbours is extremely important. They know that down the line they can use this to get better protection from the police and it leaves them more likely to get what they want/need through asking people nicely instead of violence, which protects them even more. It works for Walmart and HSBC after all.
Many hospitals on the other side of the border asked the help of the public, they need masks and gladly accept sewn ones. Their primary purpose is to capture bodily fluid leaving the wearer and to prevent spreading.
Awesome, I guess if they use those in cases of just stopping bodily fluid then that frees up ones that can work as a covid barrier for where they're needed most.
Week two of working from home: Caught myself wiping down all door handles and light switches with bleach despite living alone... Descent into madness going as planned.
Anyone else have an NHS text? "You must follow Government advice and stay at home. You may receive more detailed advice re your health condition soon. Visit www.nhs.uk" This is the first I'm hearing of my health condition... unless this is just a blanket text? I was taking some meds that I've been advised to stop if possible, so perhaps it's related to that if not?
Mine said: "GOV.UK CORONAVIRUS ALERT New rules in force now: you must stay at home. More info & exemptions at gov.uk/coronavirus Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save lives."
I've had 4 texts in 2 days from the NHS Coronavirus Service and 1 from UK_Gov. I haven't had the NHS letter yet though.
Ah ha, that's why i was faffing as i'm on my phone - seemed to just put a link up rather than the post. Ta.
