There was an acceptable price on a Powercolor RX 5700XT Red Dragon, so.. One may have fallen into the cart and my payment may have fallen into someone's account.

Everyone drops the ball every once in a while, this is my 6th order from them, not had a single issue at all.

    A teeny mechanical keyboard:

    Rhino for scale.

I've wanted to try one for a while and going from a short stroke laptop keyboard to a standard membrane one was awful, I was missing about 20% of keystrokes as I just wasn't pushing them enough. This has fixed that instantly.

I was a little concerned about the lack of pipe key, but it seems that it's more of a hassle than I expected. I've no idea how to type one, perhaps exacerbated by it being US layout?

I'd appreciate it if anyone knows the answer, it's a RK61 with brown keys for you fans of such things.

Isn't the pipe key the one under Backspace/Delete? Just hit Shift-and-ThatOne.

(I know it shows a broken pipe, but on most keyboards I've used it gives you a full pipe - like on this Filco now: |.)

That ain't the pipe, that's the "not" symbol. Or, to put it another way, it's "¬|".

(It's good I amuse myself, 'cos nobody else is laughing...)

Probably. But they said they shipped it after they received payment, couldn't provide tracking, even though I'd paid for that, then denied shipping it, said there were random delays, denied having ever said they shipped it, then went silent when I said I want my money back. That just left a bad taste in my mouth.

My old company used to make a product to fix your broken pipe.

That’s a hardcore rectal stapler for those interested.

I thought this was some kind of PVC plumbing tool. Then I read the bottom text below the picture...

I did not know that rectal staplers were a thing, and now I wish I did not know that rectal staplers were a thing.

I thought those things were mostly used for dealing with hemorrhoids.

Yeah some are and I’m not sure if it’s that model pictured, but one was designed to reattach your colon to the anus, where a section of colon was cut out. It fired a ring of staples to connect it back up.

My headphone cord split for a second time, so decided to try a third party cable. Couldn't decided so I'm try two out.
    A TRN cable:
    and a BASN cable:

    First impressions:
The TRN cable has a nicer feel, the wraps nicely around the ear. There is no strain relief at the 3.5mm jack and I suspect that this might be the point of failure. The weave of the cable is all gimmick but is fun to play with.
The BASN cable is much light gauge than the TRN. The wire insulation is a bit stiff and is a small draw back. The 3.5mm jack is has a low profile 90° connector that is really nice. I found the TRN a bit long and constantly worried about pinching the cable, and mention it needs strain relief. The BASN's MMCX connectors feature a 90° bend that mimics the original Shure cables, which I like. I haves used both straight and 90° MMCX connectors from Shure and much prefer the 90°s.

Still haven't decided which I like better. I have not noticed a difference in sound quality, nor was I expecting to. For a lark, I used a online tone generator and test the frequency response range. I was more tickle by the fact that I could hear/feel 25 hz.

Tried Alt. Gr. (Right Alt) instead of Shift?
