I need a new reservoir and was wondering whether it was possible to cut the tank-o-matic to make it shorter.

The length indicated on coolercases says 28cm and that is about 10cm longer than I want it.

I presume it is an acrylic tube and can simply be cut to length?

Another question, what size thread are the fittings as I want to fit some 10mm push fittings to it.

well, not that simply no, because the ends of the tube are threaded so you can screw the metal 'caps' into it.

Cut 10cm out of the middle and duck tape it back together :)

The first one should for definite. I held one in my hands at their stand at the Micro Mart Fair yesterday (Sunday 30.11.03). Give them a call, they may not have updated their site --quite likely actually as they live in the sticks somewhere and have no broadband, and huge internet connection troubles...

But alas they are subject to the misterious DE to GB euro-conversion whereby the price jumps 20%.

Some of you may have experienced this in the past with USD to GBP as well :sigh:

Unfortunately I never looked at the price (I didn't need one, I was just stroking it's machined aluminium modness... Hmmm...).

I ordered a Tank-o-matic micro from www.compito.de in Germany. Cost me just under £40 including postage to over here in the UK and it was here within 3 days!
