I'm waiting for somebody to put it in a honda prelude, put a spoiler on it, and add 2x 12" pyramid subwoofers.

You'll be going nowhere fast as that thing operates slower than your stock honda engine idles- 102 RPMs...

probably less than 100rpm even under load.... big engine + massive torque + marine application = low rpm

there's a Caterpillar mining truck that has a 24-cylinder turbocharged diesel. the damn thing can only go like 20, but it can pull a Walmart behind it while its doing it.

Its pretty impressive when you stand next to one. A friend of mine gave me a tour of one once. You would be amazed how clean an enigine room of a modern ship is. No oil, dirt or slick anywhere.

Another friend showed me a Navy gasturbine engine once. They pump out a lot more BHPs

Hmm, gasturbines certainly kick out some power, only really useful for ships though.

I had the opportunity to get a brief tour around the Charles De Gaule, the engine room onboard that was a sight...

You'd be right there. I didn't say it was a gas turbine, just commented on them.

    It's Twin Nuclear Reactor powered...

IIRC it could power itself at 25 Knots for 5 years solid without having to refuel...

Now I wanna see a Diesel engine that could do that

Our family's old Pilot boat had a huge 4 tonne engine, which only produced 66bhp you could fit a football in the cylinders... can't remember the make of the egine, but it would idle at something stupidly low, all you'd hear was an occasional "Whomp" as a cylinder fired..... that was a cool engine.,
