my painter is here in japan but not local. he is a famous guy that lives in Hokkaido (northern island of japan) as for the grills. i would have but again no money and im limited by tools and materials and time and if i cut them out i would have had to go the same rout you went with your top grill which looks awesome but for me would cost me roughly 300$ to do .i had considered painting the bulls eye portion of the grills matching red for the other parts but as people wont see the back of the case when im done and i dont have time ill just settle for less and revamp the project in small amounts as time permits
sorry i havent posted any updates lately as i put it all on hol but maybe will get time in dec to finish it and thanks for all the comments =)
hey nice work... still 15 fans seems a little over the top and aren't you watercooling? atm I have 4 fans including cpu gpu and the 2 on my psu. your computer will most definetly run cooler. my case temp is around 95 orsomething (room is 68) but Thats reasonable seeing how it wouldn't be any cooler in the summer when the room is 90. Sorry I dont mean to criticize.. I'll get down now. Keep up the good work and nice paint job!
/offtopic first post of me /ontopic 15 fans why not more ? 15 fans is good enough i have 8 fans in my pc to plus watercooling its freezing in there . I always say it can't be cool enough. This is a really cool pc great work thorilan i like your work is there a tutorial how you made that waterresevoir (or do you buy it) (don;t know if it correct english )
This case is soooo Sweet looking it hurts!! Thanks for posting the link for the painter. He does great work! To bad he's WAY TO FAR from me to send him my case. I guess I'll have to rely on my skills on getting my case painted. Again great setup and beautiful looking case. Keep us posted please!!!!
Hey thorilan - great work. I was wondering with you lian li floppy drive cover - did you have to put the floppy drive far back so that when you put a disk it, the button doesn't hit again the cover button and get stuck in an semi pressed position?
Custom Res I admire that res and wondered if it was ok w/ you if i copied your basic design and made one for myself -glenn
ok gonna try and do this is a linear sorta way though it wont remain that way as i get more of my pics organized so first ill start with the stripped case its a lian li pc75b (black anodized aluminum with window) the dementions are 60x60x21 which makes it a LARGE case with lots of room ( the reason why i chose it)
this is what major chunks i took out. so far so good. while its hard to tell i took out a small peice of the psu plate that would have prevented the psu from mounting perfectly flush but it doesnt warrent a pic of its own
a closer look at the cuts so you can see how i mounted the fan . these cuts where specificaly measured and designed for the NF7S rev2.0 motherboard btw
