The same message I get..also size message. Tried in various browsers various size files but the same problem. This is not a "minimum" post problem as the message varies. There is a definite problem..

@MLyons - is this an 'image size' issue or a 'new user' issue? Or just a 'general issue' issue?

Think I've worked out the issue. I'll get on to it now.

EDIT: Think I've fixed it. Please try again

Necro bump, I am getting this error now, tried Firefox, Chrome & Edge (argh), same message, doesn't appear to be anywhere near my quota.

Is it me or has Doge broken something?

I've applied a temporary fix for now. I'm sorting out something permanent now.

It's due to a space issue on the server and we can't expand it until we get the new servers which will hopefully done in the next few weeks. At this point I'm combing through the server looking for anything that I could potentially delete but I've used up most of my tricks previously.

Old Doge has no new tricks?

There's an idiom in there somewhere, but I'm just not seeing it...

The new trick is upgrade to two 2 x 64 core EPYC servers with 256GB RAM and 24TB of NVMe storage each. Issue is they're not in the data centre yet. How about I delete old media and users at random to free space :p:

1: Any image file older than x days gets backed up to an off-server storage space / tape / clay tablet
2: Each of those files gets re-encoded one by one to an image a fraction of the size (e.g. 1/4 or 1/8) and at a lower .jpg percentage
3: Original file deleted off live server, teenified file renamed to original filename
    4: Move onto next image
5: When new servers get mirrored over, teenified files can be replaced with originals again.
Could get fancy by skiping files that are already below X kb or YxZ resolution to avoid avatar massacre.
