So, I'm hoping that my recent donations are enough to garner some advice on a laptop I am currently playing Elder Scrolls Online and really enjoy it. The last game I bought was the Square Enix bundle so I'm probably going to be playing the last Tomb Raider at some point. My existing system runs everything I have with high to ultra settings at 1080p. I run some DJ software and play with Adobe Premiere occasionally. My main PC will be handed down to my 11 year old to play TF2 and Minecraft! I'm wanting the facility to be able to take a laptop out and about but also return to my desk and plug in a monitor/ keyboard/ mouse for the heavier sessions. I'm guessing AMD for the bang-for-buck tag? I was originally erring towards a MacBook but I really can't justify the expense just for an ecosystem and as I have been mainly Windows for the last decade, I don't think that I need to change now (my iMac upstairs is 10.5.8 and is no longer able to be upgraded. I like the look of the Asus Zephyrus and their Zenbook range (for some arty-farty stuff) but worried about the bloatware. I think 15" will be OK but my eyesight has gotten considerably worse over the last six months that my Apple Watch needs to be moved in and out of view even with my bins on! Can anyone suggest anything that would be (preferably) under the £1000 mark and perhaps give a reason as to why? I've not had a personal laptop for just under a decade and really have no idea where to begin!

@IamJudd Unfortunately, I doubt you'll be able to find something new for under £1,000. The old fleabay may give you a bit more bang for buck if you're willing to purchase secondhand. @Awoken 's recommendation is the cheapest you'll get.
If you don't care about size/weight and a bit of noise you could build something like a pcspecialist desktop replacement for around same money but packed out with a higher spec thats more capable of holding higher clockspeeds, obviously a bit more compromised on portability but not held back like most power constrained laptops, depend what you need out of a portable gaming laptop, e.g. does it really need to be that portable, or is it moving from one desk to another. Most gaming laptops need to be plugged into game and have some hefty PSUs If you are sticking mid range GPU you might want to consider Intel and thunderbolt for future external GPU if it is a machine you will hold on to for years. Or if your portability does not require gaming on the move, perhaps get a lightweight laptop with eGPU at home? For some nice gaming portability with a 2060 I like the Zephyrus G14 as a package.
I just saw the Asus Tuff A15: Thanks to better cooling and a bigger battery it outperforms the G14 in most tests despite a slower processer (in theory - with thermal limiting the G14 throttles when the A15 can keep going). It isn't perfect but I'd have one over the G14 if I had the money and it actually costs less! Watch the video and judge for yourself.
A little update - due to some additional work I now have around £3.5k to play with... The Apple is back on the table but wondered what to compare it to. Main use has changed from gaming to writing, photo and video editing and light gaming. Looking at build quality now as that kind of money can easily ensure a decent laptop that will last a number of years if looked after! Plus I can easily go down the eGPU route now!
