Meh, they just want to delay it's impact until they can develop something themselves, or get it banned so they don't have to. It's almost pro-forma.
They are not going to develop anything for the few months this season lasts. They are also not going to develop anything for 2021, because DAS is illegal in 2021. They also couldn't protest before today, because you can only protest once the car was actually deployed on the track. And they protest for the chance that on-track FIA decision is going to be different than the preliminary decision which they said when they decided to ban DAS from 2021. That could result in Mercedes either losing their points from this race and need to redo the 2020 car, or nothing, and then story is over.
So Ferrari are imploding. Red Bull are being whiney c**ts. Mercedes are about to destroy everything and everyone. It's so nice to have things back to normal. On a different note, the McRenault and the Pinkcedes look like best of the rest so far, maybe even up with Ferrari for this weekend at least.
Well duh, the FIA said it was legal in testing, also announced that they would alter the rules for 2021 to cover DAS and DAS-like systems. Can't fault Red Bull for trying, they just forgot to put red shirts and a thick Italian accent on when they protested.
Like blown diffusers and double diffusers before it... If you can't copy it, complain about it... It also gives the teams something to point to and go 'that's why we got spanked...' when Merc spanks everyone silly... again...
Bah, hahahahah. Horner and Dr Evil can go suck it. So, Lewis will probably match Schumacher's WDC tally, and surpass his win record before the end of this season.
Indeed. They need some way to boost performance. I wonder if they've ever considered fiddling the max fuel flow rate to improve straight line speed?
I wonder how much their engine magic was covering them last year? I know they've said they have discovered an exploded Achilles heal in this year's design, but they're really not far from last year's. Excellent stuff from McLaren. Glad they're ahead of tracing point. I was hoping stroll would be dire despite driving a championship winning car, but I'll settle for getting thoroughly spanked by Perez into retirement.
I'd been watching it through nefarious means perfectly fine up until about half way through q2 and it started crapping out, completely missed q3, just left the tab open while doing something else and it burst back into life to give me the result I was going to get on the highlights later. Bit annoying, but sums up the week I've had really.
Funny that I had the exact same issue. I guess its our penance for our evil doings. But Ferrari looked dog slow
Talking of Ferrari engines... Haas and NotSauber appear to have fallen way too close to Williams for comfort, yeah sure it is just one track but it certainly doesn't look like anything related to Maranello is having a fun time this year.
True with Williams straddling the Alfa's looks like the bottom three could be quite interesting. Midfield looks fun Renault are quicker than I expected. There was a graphic I saw that showed Vs the last Austrian which teams were quicker or slower but basically Ferrari were the big loser, Williams the big winners.
Yep, McLaren + ForceStrollAston + Renault looks like quite the fight for 3rd best team (and Ferrari in there between them probably).
https://www.planetf1.com/news/albon-understands-why-max-got-new-rb16-nose/ We have two of this brand new front wing, one for Max and a spare for Max in case he needs it. Nice to see Team Verstappen are already in the process of Gaslying Albon too, I wonder how long it will be before they start talking about his performance.
