Last week or so I’ve woke up in a fairly bleak place to be honest, just getting by hour by hour.I’m not sure exactly what’s caused the drop in mood but it’s just not been good....

Today was different, I woke up feeling good, energised and ready for the day ahead

I've been bitching about Hermes taking the wrong parcel for weeks and it being impossible to get in touch with anyone to find it

I just ended up giving up on it and accepting I was eventually going to have to refund the guy for it as it fallen into a parcel network black hole.

Got positive feedback today from the buyer, its a few weeks late but it must have made its way through somehow! wooo

Finally got around to getting my hands on a copy of the Metal Gear Solid OST.

No more crappy rips of the main theme or the end title music for me!

Waiting on the MGS 2 soundtrack, and having internal debates whether I want to spend ~60€ for the MGS4 OST.

I'm just waiting on a seat post to arrive so I can fit this 1998 NOS seat I found.

Listing was accurate, this machine is spotless

Well OK, there's a few light marks here and there, but you have to look hard to see them. It is a near 20-year old system, so frankly I'd say it's in pretty damn impressive condition.

    Weighs a freakin' ton tho...

New replacement phone is far better than the broken one it replaced.

    Scrap bin to the rescue!

Been sucking at flying in ArmA, and I reckon part of the problem is that the flight controller stuff is quite stiff.

Spent a bit of time re-lubing it all, and made some table clamp brackets so I can actually secure it to the desk.

Using some scrap 8mm ply, 18mm ply, and some 30x3mm steel bar. Drilled and tapped some holes (Which went far better than I had any reason to expect), bent the bar with some mole-grips (Which also went far better than I had any right to expect), some sanding and epoxy later and poof. A pair of table clamps for the X45.

Just got to wait for the epoxy to dry so I can test the theory that part of my shockingly poor flying is resolved.

Always blame your tools. Good thinking right there. Are you in management?

    Dolby Atmos

new tablet I picked up a few weeks back has 4 Atmos supported speakers in it but I never enabled it. had a play and just sat through an Atmos rendition of Topgun, how on earth can such a small unit produce sound that feels like its in my head is beyond me it really is.

my home theatre plans have just changed. time to rip holes in the ceiling.

Ha, sadly I also readily admit that I'm terrible at flying in ArmA!

The tools complaint is legit, though, as the desk is smooth, so the stick moves quite a lot on its own. Even trying to lean out of center shuffles the base around.

So what you're saying is that you're old? Well done, mate.

    And, obviously, all the best!
