That was my intentions here. I found a thread in the forum that went well in depth to answer the person's questions and even answered about some of the complications of flame polishing. That is all I am trying to do. was answering the q I am sorry for making you feel like I was hijacking the thread. I think mine was pretty mild compared to some of the stuff I posted. and I only mentioned it twice in the thread. So please calm down and show a little apreciation for someone just trying to lend a hand.

I would recommend you just get some 1500 grit sand paper and some rubbing compound to polish your acrylic.

I have polished out scratches on flat peices of acrylic doing this. You can get perfect results.

Right, so the case itself is almost ready now I just need to add the details ect

I still had a HDD VU PCB lying around so I quickly soldered that one :)

    I’m using 8 white LED's and a blue one 8)

And then I made the holes.

    Close up.

    The LED's in the holes.

And this is how it looks when i works. ;)

I’m planning to sand the LED's flat so it will "merge" with the Plexiglas :)

now that would look brilliant - assuming you can do this without destroying the LED... better check on a spare first, and let us know how it goes :)

And whilst I’m at it I might as well put in some (almost complete) overview pictures. Note: The decals of smoked plexi are not yet in place.

Its waaaay to cold out here to go modding in the shed, so i had to confine me to my other shed. (my room :p ;) )

So i made my own anti vibration HDD suspension, and damn, it even works

The case itself is near completion, i still need to add 2 fanholes and some other IO holes, plus the decals still need to be placed, with smoked black plexiglas

But i got some overview photos (hey it just looks good :p )

Cool looking mod  but 2 things spring to mind:

    1. Shouldnt you have put the psu on the back end & the led's on the front

    2. Its gonna be mighty tight fitting an AGP card in there

    Otherwise :dremel: :D

    1. Look closer the PSU is at the back of the case and the LED’s are in the front of the case :p

    2. Nope fits like a charm, the AGP card is only a tnt2 :) so their not that long, I calculated that before I installed it :p, something’s I dint and that kinda caught me of guard, but I can arrange another place for the HDD, and if u look @ my own made suspention you can kinda guess how its gonna hang inside the case.

But all with all, I have a large amount of respect for our Gnome, because working with plexiglas really is a bitch :p, its hard to get it nice, well hard isn’t the correct word, lets say it just takes a lot of effort, but the end result is PWNAGE

Naaa that wont be necessary :) the exposed parts that have a current of 220 volts are all insulated, and if the case is done theirs no way u can pry ur little fingers in their :p

general rule of thumb says motherboard ports go on the back of the case...... but if you feel like breaking the mold
