While I may not have your...wisdom, I've now at least reached the age where I've realised everyone else is just as confused about life as I am, and that behind every man's face of cool composure is a 12 year old who just wants to go and play with their toys, be it a PC, a car, a drone etc.

I pride myself on staying as close as possible to that kid I used to be and be awed by things around me instead of taking things with a meh-so-what attitude.

Why else would I have just spent ₤1295 on a new headphone amp?

If your car is valued at 650 quid, I think there's a lot of things that cost nearly two times as much..

You have to give Bit's image embedder Imgur's "direct link", not the "image link", like this:-

When I was time trialling my bike was worth much more than my car. I didn't much care what I drove, as long as it worked and still feel much the same.

So this post belongs here, the 'other' thread, and Videos of Awesome.

Apparently I can pick tubular locks now:

Never picked up a set of lockpicks in my life. A couple of YouTube videos, 10-15 minutes piddling around, and now I can open this 'safe' in seconds. It's easier than the transparent practice lock that came with the lockpicks.

    • This thread, because: well, I learned a new thing
    • Videos of Awesome, because: well, there's a video of me picking a lock...
    • The 'other' thread, because: Locks really are an illusion of safety!! I've seen LockPickingLawyer get into so many locks so many times, but that guy's been doing it a long time. You assume that he makes it look easier than it actually is because of so much experience. But in this particular case, it really was that easy for a total novice to open what is supposed to be a 'safe'.

Context: I do have permission from the owner to be breaking into their stuff. This is a safe my dad used to use to store important stuff like house deeds, and my mum didn't realise until long after he died that she doesn't know the combination and the override keys are long gone. She was going to get a locksmith or have someone to try and cut it open, but I told her to hold off and I'll see if it can be picked. She reminded me about it on the weekend, and sure enough: there's a tubular lock to override the digital lock.

TL;DR: This 'safe' really is not safe.
