Now I've had to take the siding off the rad cover to screw in some fittings. Will it go back? Will it ****. Rad and fans off again. Goodbye another 2 hours.

Swimmer's ear again from wearing headphones when it's hot. For about the umpteenth time :(

At least this time I found something handy out though. Usually I have to faff around, make a doc's appointment and go get the ear ***** that shoots reeky vinegar smelling stuff. Today I learned that it's mostly distilled white vinegar (got) and rubbing alcohol (also got). So I am going to use that for a couple, see how it pans out. I did check it all out properly before doing it BTW. It's a 50/50 mix and I put it in a dropper bottle. Stinks to high heaven, but is relieving.

Turning on your pump for the first time and finding out your drain port works really well  But... (See awesome thread)

I did exactly the bloody same !. Imagine my horror, though, when I had to break down the entire rig and loop to get the floor of the rig out. So basically remove everything, remove floor with LCD in it that had gone for a swim, then let it all dry for two days before rebuilding the entire rig over. In fact, during the Threadripper update I had to do that no less than four times.

That's why the new PC is relatively simple and all AIO cooled.

Luckily it's right near the drain hole in the bottom of the case, so most went out and soaked the mat it was on.

Right there under that T fitting (with the BP dragon on). It's not a drain plug but it may as well be LOL. It's the temp probe. It must have fallen into the bottom of the rig and I forgot it. Looped up the entire rig, including that really annoying vertical mount that I had to make my way (TM) and yeah, just poured away. It all ran straight into the screen, and you can not get that out until the board is out. Why? because it looks better that way :D

God I am my own worst enemy !!

BTW going back to your post. Nothing is cursed dude. It's you. I don't mean that in a horrible way, I mean it as in if you haven't had enough sleep and are not fully focused that sort of stuff will happen *a lot* when modding. Especially when working with hand tools and doing it by hand as you and I do. A silly mistake can cost you a whole day, and with the taps open for those sort of silly mistakes.. Yeah, now you can see why my new rig is AIO cooled.

I just couldn't do it again man.

Water has no place in my PC and that's the way it's going to stay.

I'd never spilled a drop that wasn't my fault tbh. I have had crap fittings that failed (45' usually) but yeah, it had been so long since I built it that I couldn't even remember how I had done it all. And the wiring? god, I am glad it made sense at one point in time but I spent two days digging through it all trying to remember my plan.

I've literally never used Visio before, and I would much rather be in the days before I'd ever used it.

Alphonso is missing. It's bin day and he really doesn't like the noise of it all, and will often scoot out for a bit, or hides in the back room/kitchen/bathroom but never far and then he'll come back the instant I kick the catflap. But he had been better lately and not really running off and the binmen have long since gone. I've stood in the garden shaking his bowl, shouted out the upstairs window, been round the block a few times shaking the dreamies, attracting a myriad of other cats, but no alph. I hope to god he's just off wandering and nothing has happened to him.
