Laura is away all night, baby is sleeping soundly, I'm watching The Lighthouse with a few bottles of ale.

Babies are bloody hard work but it makes you appreciate times like this all the more. Especially after three hellishly hot nights

 

Simple things please me tonight.

Like being able to switch off god damn dubbing on Netflix so I can watch Dark in the original German with subtitles.

 

Peace, quiet and time alone are things often far too underrated.

First decent nights sleep in what feels like a long time. Crashed for a solid 10 hours.

 

What did you think about The Lighthouse?

A week of holiday. We won't be going anywhere for a 'proper' holiday (thanks, virus-thingy), but we might just go and take some pictures of stars and sleep in our car.

I think you'd be able to tell quite clearly if it's your bag; it's a beautiful execution of what it is.

 

I've watched it with my fiancée, we both enjoyed it a lot.

I recommend watching some of the interviews and behind the scenes videos on YouTube as well. There is a lot more going into this movie than you (or anyone) will likely see/notice. Like the type of film it was shot on, the filters they used, the sound and music design, ... It is more art than movie, to be honest.

I want an Xbox in my office room, and since the upstairs xbox is getting "retired" when the Series X gets purchased, it seems only right to take it and stuff it into the office room.

But I want to strap the AIO I have lying around, H110i picked up for a song on Fleabay (functional), to the Xbox and that means removing it from the Xbox chassis lest it look fugly.

It's totally coincidental that I'm watching some G5 chassis on ebay.. They're cheaper than I thought they would be.

I'm thinking about a lot of cases, and the heart wants to go small, but the Xbox board is a little much for something like a Enthoo Shift Air. Unless it went diagonally. But I also don't think the Shift Air can fit a 280 AIO..

Few drops of rain now & again but the Cab Sav innoculates against that.

Logged into my bank account to find it was much lower than I thought. Scared me crapless. I balanced out the "bills and savings" account, using my "Spend away !" account and only had £20 left. It totally didn't seem right at all.

Then I noticed I had sent £80 into my water bill account. DOH. Put it back where it should be, much relief.

Note to self, don't shuffle cash around when you have taken your knockout dose before bed.

 

I just opened up a fruit Mentos pack and all but three of them were pink.

 

Just checking up on..uh, me. I don't remember exactly what I posted. And I don't think I want to either.

I was, unfortunately, very drunk. I do apologise to everyone that saw whatever I said.

I am ready to never speak of this again.

I found out you can play HL Alyx sitting down very well. So I finally had a monster session without killing my back.

 

My wife posted a video on her Tiktok and it reached #5 on the platform, her 3rd time to time since she started at the beginning of the lockdown.
Someone it coming to interview her today to be on an annual national debating show because of her success on Tiktok.
