There is no "alternative treatment" to chemo/radiation. Nothing that works, that is. I'm sorry to sound harsh, but all of that is BS. I lost both my parents to cancer/tumours. Since 2003 I had enough time to get to learn A LOT about that ******* of a disease.

Again, sending all the strength I can.

Just got back home after a lovely week away to find that my GPU block from aliexpress is sitting at a mail depot, having arrived in less than two weeks, despite them quoting three to six weeks. I shouldn't be mad - it's early after all - but I have to stare at this failed delivery card until Tuesday.

I was gunna build my loop this weekend and fit the block to my card in a few weeks, now it seems kinda pointless building the loop when the block is less than 1km from where I'm sitting.

    First world problems Cheesecake

Preaching to the choir. The girlfriend and I had to agree not to talk about it because I have nothing but vitriol for alternative 'medicine'. Utter hogwash, and anyone promoting it (and charging for it, the ****ing harpies) for anything other than a placebo should be charged with manslaughter or similar and ****ed off to prison imo.

I've been staring at 'held in customs' for 19 days and still no sodding "gi' us money" letter. I feel your frustration.

House hunting in the rental market. My current landlord is selling so my tenancy isn't being renewed. I can't get a mortgage, so I'm still having to rent, and renting in Hampshire isn't as cheap as it used to be. Still, I have roughly 3 months to find, secure and move.

    Ugh.

I did a fair bit of gardening today in preparation for the 'no gardening' season and finally got around to addressing the build up of seed under my bird table. I didn't realise the little gits wasted so much - in some places it was ~2 inches deep.

Here's the thing - I reckon that the bottom stuff had started fermenting, which gave off a really strong 'beer making' smell. It was so bad I almost retched a few times. The smell and feeling is now lodged in my memory, which marred supper somewhat. I hope a night's sleep erases it :grr: .

Lesson learnt: sweep up under a bird table/feeder regularly.

I'm not usually into heavy metal head banging music, but there has been a few that have turned my head.

Take this guy, Leo, absolutely insane, but hilarious and very talented.

Probably the best version I have heard of Zombie. I mean, my 3yr old boy loves it haha...

Also Leo, has other covers like Dance Monkey which is IMO hilarious to watch and listen too.

Edit: Wrong thread... I blame my phone, Okay!

This is the first year in a very long time, that I have abandoned wearing shorts in August.

It's more or less a lost year, in two weeks time I was supposed to be flying to Singapore :(

On the other hand, the decision not to go back to college this year but next year is working out great. Gotta hold onto those little victories.

But only a few weeks have passed, I've barely been outside! There was that odd end of April heat wave which was very unexpected, but its May now, right?
