Very nice. Didn't Avalance use a VIA EPIA motherboard? well, Mini-ITX is one thing, but an ATX board in a RC car? Crazy! Looking really sweet, have been subscribed since the start.

    You gonna integrate a TFT?

Ammagadinhavvan! (to be said loud and very quick!)

This is one nice project, and that RC is pretty HUGE. :D
Good luck fitting everything tho, looks like it's a close one , even for it's size. And for your mouse and keyboard, you COULD go with USB-devices. :)

Good luck all in all, I'll pay close attention to this. :)

I call it the Flux Capacitor....

You need do save room for the twin chromed NOS bottles....
That or for 2 7.5v NMhi 3000 mA bat packs... and go online and get some annodized oil filled shocks for that thing....
Don't forget the Gps system and Lojak....

We in the states call that a Monster Truck...You ought to try and get a spot in one of those Monster Tuck rags...when you're done of course. :D

That is a Hummer H2, not quite a monster truck...

    Hummer H2
    Monster Truck

See the slight difference in size!

It's not a monster truck, but it's the next best thing!

With the body jacked up that high off the suspension…I’d definitely say it qualifies as a monster truck. There’s a guy in the next town that turned his hummer into a small monster…

Killer mod! May I add something though? Why not buy an elcheapo set of computer speakers, rip them apart, and mount them to the roof of the truck, integrated sound :cooldude: And you have to make all the "stock" lights on this thing light up, then add a cold cathode underneath to add to the ground effects. Totaly tick mod though.

I'd be careful putting speakers (big magnets) near the rest of my computer system

The magnets on computer speakers are insulated, hence why they are called "computer speakers" ;)

Not insulated, that doesn't effect magnetism.

Shielded. Covered up by an opposing magnet as to lower the magnetic field's potential or something.

Either way, computer speakers may or may not fit, but hydraulics...

    *rolls computer into LAN, stops*

*picks it up, plops on table, flicks switch*

    Pssssst...

    *lowers to immobile level*

:D Yeeehaw on the heavy imagination!

lol, yeah sorry, got my wording mixed up, lack of sleep and starvation can do that ya know :p ment shielded not insulated. Hydrolics would be cool yeah, but I doubt there would be room enough for a pump.

Hydraulics would be kinda cool.
Maybe use the magnets from the speakers with a coil in place of the shocks to make the hydrolic effect. Also adds a shock absorbtion bonus.

Malfeo, you say in your sig you have two sound cards to acheive an 8.1 theatre effect with a progy. got a linky on that? It interests me for a future htpc I gonna build from my current computer parts, (mobo, proc, ram).
    </off topic>

Robster, lookin good. How are you gonna secure the hdd(s) down? Your not gonna leave it hanging on by the cables dragging around on the floor by the cables are ya? :eyebrow:

Maybe there's room enough for some of those electronic-push piston dealies that they use to open doors with shaved handles on cars?

Uh.. solenoids? Only.. well, they push forward when current is activated, so yeh.

Yeah, thats the kind of thing I was thinking of. Use that in place of the original shocks if possible.
