Well this all suggests that Nvidia have smashed it out the park (at least on marketing). They've literally sold out in under an hour which aint shabby (unless there were very low numbers to start with) Scan is under attack by all of the nerds apparently!
Ill keep my money for another month ... see what AMD do. Shame , ive got a C9 OLED and really wanted to see some 4k @ 120Hz .. Even if i wait for the 3070 its going to be the same come release day , really wanted a FE edition too. Sad times.
Ebuyer has some still at sensible prices: https://www.ebuyer.com/store/Components/cat/Graphics-Cards-Nvidia/subcat/GeForce-RTX-3080
Same here, and the notification from Nvidia didn't arrive until at least 30 minutes after launch. I'd already decided I wasn't going to buy one, but thought it would be fun to see if I could!
Orginal 1080 launch I waited about 1-2 months to get a card the demand was nuts, looks similar to this
Three people on OCUK forums managed to get one. Only to find that they had been charged an extra £50 for it by the time the checkout was finished. Ed. Not the FE.
Never mind, they can still get two. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-CONFI...398874?hash=item3fe9612a9a:g:tfsAAOSwMQBfY4OO
I know I'm salty too but on Nvidia's shop I had the "Buy Now" button which I pressed and then went out of stock before I could check out. Equally Amazon had EVGAs listed at £2500 and everywhere else's websites just fell over. I'm just excited for the new tech and upgrading my 1070Ti but this was beyond a joke.
If you had read the thread you would have seen plenty of prior warning fella. This was all predicted. Apparently Gibbo has used the $ vs £ goat again for the price hike, but don't worry there will be loads coming in October. Right when AMD launch big Navi.
