Or £1 on the Xbox One and PC simultaneously if you join Ultimate.

...right up until next month, when it'll auto-renew at £10.99.

Tell you what, though, Game Pass is fantastic value. I'm on the £7.99-a-month Xbox-only sub, and the kids love it.

It is amazing value, all latest Microsoft games go onto it like flight sim, also has all the EA games from next month, it’s a bit of bargain

Just a quick browse of tesco shows the latest PS4 titles @ 50quid hardly bargain of century.

Until there is a reasonable market for the next gen games the prices will stay high, convenience of the digital store is worth a little extra to me, I don't do disc, but as which everything else you can always top up with cheap credit and wait for sales.

The price of games look expensive but snes games were 60 notes back in the day.
I remember people importing street fighter for £150
70 quid is the new 40 quid

And back then a game was a game rather than a starter pack.

I rarely buy games on release, pretty much i've waited for the PS Slim variants of the console by which time there's usually a batch of games to buy cheap but new.

Having the disc option is a bonus to me, it doesn't take many purchases to make up that difference in price.

To be fair you could argue the other way if you looked at the work hours put into a modern aaa game (even only taking into account what you get in a base game).

To put it into perspective, a screenshot of Super Mario takes up more storage space than the entire game... I know storage space isn't the only thing to consider, but even if you're not getting the "full game", you're getting way more bang for your buck these days than you were 30 years ago most of the time.
