    Nice write up. I think your right in the portrayol of broken and beaten lands like Velen. It almost makes you feel safe once you make it to the grandour of Novigrad

    Funny, I just recently started a new playthrough.

    The music get me and, it's true, leaving the swamp and hitting the shiny cobbles can give some respite.

    Thank you for explaining why - far from appreciating its brain-exploding brilliance - I think Witcher 3 is a tedious, run-of-the-mill slog with clunky, run-of-the-mill melee combat. It's because I don't understand it as a morality tale.
