    You've both overtaken some stunning Folders in their day;
Nelio hammered passed everyone from about the summer of 2014 for a couple of years, and phoenicis did the same a few years before at the end of 2009.
inpharm was probably the most impressive of all on our team back in 2007 - long before GPU Folding - when he used F@H to 'burn-in' test a whole stack of Xeon Blade Servers :hehe:

25th of November and you will be 2nd... Middle of 2023 before you catch the Doc lol.

That's me hit two milestones, 500 million, plus, on a 1920x1200 monitor I no longer need to scroll down to see my name in the team list...

It's a bit easier to generate huge points these days, in that you don't need tens of thousands of pounds worth of server-grade equipment to generate millions of PPD. Still pretty expensive for a privateer mind!

Great work fellas, powering up the charts with dizzying numbers of zeroes!
In more sedate climes, I have trickled over the 12M mark this week with my new small and [not] quiet folding rig in action. Why did I think that anything under load with a 40mm fan wouldn't be noisy?
That's taken me into the top 300, which is pleasing, as I only started earlier this year and have very modest kit running with some of it part time.
@kim, good to see you heading for 10M mon brave!

Using you as an example, 21m PPD, 2080Ti is average 3.2m PPD you need 6/7 of them. £1300 each plus two systems to split them between you are £10k upfront plus £250 a month in elec before you even factor in cooling. Maybe slightly cheaper for a cluster of 2070s. At least you can heat the house for free in winter. Plus a bit of resale if you don't run them till they die.

Just tipped over 5 billion points. Sadly, I'll soon be starting the process of decommissioning the folding rigs and selling off the parts over the coming months.

Still with several other team members having upped their game in recent times I'm sure the team will be in great hands, and you never know - I might make a future resurgence!

My home office is in the loft room and it gets pretty cold up here. Some of that kit would help me warm things up.

Congratulations @Shirty, that's a lot of points and a lot of good work done for FaH :thumb:

The image in my head as I read the first sentence was Dr Evil from Austin Powers saying '5 Billion' with his little finger in front of his mouth!

I await your sale and hope for something that I need, to pay a visit to Sarum after all these years.

Congratulations to Dave_Goodchild, not a forum user afaik but he's just hit the billion mark having been on the team for over 14 years.

Not looking forward to the ballache of breaking these rigs down tbh but hey, nobody said folding would be easy!

@Shirty - some outstanding Folding performance you've put in over the last year :thumb:
Perhaps, when the cold winter nights draw in, you might feel an urge to fire up the odd rig ... or two :hehe:

Yep, Dave_Goodchild has certainly upped his ante recently to make that 1Bn milestone.
(I think he does peruse the forum, but has not posted for a long time).

He may well be lurking in the background, but a cursory search suggests he hasn't posted here for the best part of 8 years!

I'm sure I'll find time to chuck out the odd work unit. After all, if I end up getting a 3090 I suppose I'll need to find out for myself just how much science it can do!!!

@Shirty, can't believe you've pulled the plug for the time being. Some great numbers during those hot summer months.

I've just crept into the top 10 for the first time having overtaken @Scorpuk who I recall putting in some sterling work when I first started out. I hope to hold onto my position but Dave_Goodchild is narrowing the gap despite my new purchases. I'll have to have a look at what @Shirty has for sale to replace those 2x970's!

Does 70M count as a milestone? Also not far off the top 100 in the team.

Was my goal to hit 1B before christmas so well chuffed. Not sure how much longer I'll keep going, need to see. Was hoping to maybe cut down to just 1 3080/3090 and sell the rest but no chance of that it seems.

Well done on the 70m. Be careful because it becomes very addictive working your way up that top 100!
