Yeah, I think a mod needs to move a section of this thread to somewhere more appropriate.

This is supposed to be a happy feels thread afterall

Coming to a forum focused on an expensive hobby, than moaning because others have more money is daft at best. Those people, on this forum, who have more have worked hard over many years to get where they are. They are not friends of Tory ministers, who have scammed millions off the tax payers of the UK.

I have too much misery for one thread...

Here’s my awesome for the day, I had a few hours extra sleep and now I feel born again.

We’re also having mild success potty training (my son... not me I’m well versed on the throne) so that’s always good news.

also finding out I get paid one week earlier in December on the 24th meaning I’ll clear 2 big debts I’ve been attacking for 18-24 months on Christmas Eve!

Congrats man. Sounds like you've been doing a power of work this year clearing debts, which in terms of peace of mind is absolutely priceless. Good stuff :thumb:

    Speak for yourself, mate.

My awesome for the day topic: as posted already on the discord, we made Cornish pasty yesterday (beautiful, tasty, especially for the first try), then made saffron ciabatta and fake-Nutella. It's amazing how easily you can make all these things yourself, save money, have fun doing it, and it even tastes as good or better than the store-bought stuff.

This is the sort of gem I visit the forums for. TLDR: vote out the muppets in government

Back on topic. HEXUS is now moved to the new servers. We have 3 things left then we're finally done.

Aye, making your own stuff doesn't have to be expensive or difficult. You just need to invest a bit of time into it. That pasty looked awesome although where was the cross-section shot?

Few things give more satisfaction, than making something yourself and doing it well. Woodwork does it for me.

    I was too greedy, sorry.

Let me see if there is one left and I'll take a cross-section picture.

Well it is 'single barrel'

But at current prices it'd be £12,971.15 for a 53.3 US gallon barrel :jawdrop:

Indeed, a pleasant night, full of ambience.. erm, I mean ambulance, and softly lit by the fluorescent tubes at the local A&E. Coupled with the gentle gurgling soundrack of the stomach pump.

Nice! I can sign up for one of the lower tiers of "Ultrafast fibre," though I'm not sure how 'cos nobody's dug up our street to lay fibre, but it's four times what I'm paying now for about twice the speed...
