    Henry!

Sick of the non-replaceable batteries in cordless vacuums wearing out, sick of the faff of needing to clean several filters in bag-less vacuums, sick of the goddamn mess that bag-less vacuums make when you empty the damn things into a bin that isn't almost completely empty.

I don't mind paying for quality, but I am not spending £300+ on a cordless upright vacuum cleaner just to try and improve on what we've got now (this Vax thing we've got now was the best part of £200!), so.... **** it: time for an old-school cylinder vacuum cleaner with a bag...

On offer for £22 and as my good lady thinks you can just randomly drill in to walls, believing me a bit cautious or exaggerating when saying "we have to at least consider pipes and cables", I thought it'd be handy to show her.

Just be careful, I have a nightmare with stud finders because they always go off when I pick them up.

Yeah, yeah, I'm getting my coat already, no need to escort me out...

You might be right about that.

I know, I know... I was hoping enough time had passed for people to forget

    More shopping

Yet more LED bulbs, 24x Philips G9 3.5w capsules and 24x Philips Warm Glow E14 dimmables to be specific, and three LED compatible dimmers.

Makita 36v split shaft, line trimmer attachment for now but can see the pole extension with hedge trimmer and chainsaw attachments coming in handy next year too.

Thermostat that hopefully resolves the under floor heating problem in one of the rooms.

And rum. And whisky. And wine. Lots of wine. We left stocks get low in the last place because made no sense to move it, and now at the new place the drinks cupboard is quite empty, not to mention this...

Replacing what is so far the only victim of the move, with a broken handle that's uneconomical to repair
    [IMG]

Temporary measure for the media room so I can get things set up in the short term and whilst I'm getting along with the other projects in the house
    [IMG]

And booked in someone to come and sort some of the loft out, which I think/hope is getting towards the end of the really big purchases.
    - 40sqm of new insulation (in an area of the loft that was left inexplicably uninsulated)
    - 40sqm raised loft flooring
    - lighting in said area of the loft
    - Replace a hatch & drop down loft ladder
    - Relay and top up a further 100sqm of insulation
