I'm moving and need to repair the holes from mounting a tv. The holes are not massive as I didn't do a cable run. The walls are the ugly which ones with the dry paint stuff that you can't wipe and chips off. What is the easiest solution to make the holes go away?

Is leaving the bracket instead an option?

Did you need to paint as well?
    I ordered this one.

Easier to fill the holes instead of asking about an unauthorised modification.

A lick of paint would save me getting a paintbrush or roller but would probably taste pretty bad. Especially if I need to brush my teeth with paint thinner.

A washing up sponge is great for the odd touchup job.

If you're going for the "what can I use from the bathroom" approach, bog roll's a better choice. Wet it, roll it, pop it in the hole.

But just buy filler. It's cheap, and you can even get it pre-mixed these days - no more messing around mixing sachets of powder into water.

Saving pennies usually means more elbow grease. There comes a point when spending money outweighs time spent. Buying filler from Wicks is probably one of those times.

Filler and get a paint sample for a few quid similar to the whatever's on the wall and use that
    to apply the touch ups.

Toothpaste works well too, although I've no idea what it's like to paint over.

LOL ... It was a toothpaste suggestion that got us to other bathroom items.

    Drywall Boy to the rescue!
Get a small amount of real plaster. That Spackling paste stuff is hard to sculpt, and made of weird styrofoam-like material.
Get the hole cleaned up and make sure none of the 'wound' is sticking out. Pack the hole with plaster, and make sure there's a little mound of it over the hole sticking out from the wall.
After it dries, you can surface it flat with a wet rag. Sanding removes the original texture, while the rag will help you blend into it.
