Cool speakers, simple, yet great looking design, reminds of some visual illusion pictures.

    Cheers guys tyvm :thumb:

I knew once this mod was operational enuf it would end up on my desk asap :D But the beauty of it is it's giving me time to think about last few additions.

The speakers while not painted yet are sounding amazing and really handle some volume and put out some really nice deep bass. I recently brought the Topping MX3 Dac/Amp/Headphone Amp. And while it's a great AIO Desktop solution it lacks a the solid punch these speakers need. The headphone stage dosn't quiet stack up to my Schiit Modi / Magni Combo.

    So.......

    Hyper Amp ! ......
    Well Amp/Dac :)

I always loved the look of the Peechtree Audio gear so went with that style with a little Hyper-ness thrown in.

The victims being a 2020A+ amp and a Muse Dac chosen for the power and the sound and seem to combine pretty well.

The first thing i'll do is chuck the plastic knobs for some sexier ones

The new housing is pretty simple with a slight angle to match the case mod and speakers.

There's a fair bit of work to do inside still and a active fan and back panel will round it out.

A single 12V / 6 amp psu will supply more than enuf grunt for both amp and dac.

Some gap filling sanding and primer work.......

And some high fill... then left to sit for a week before a final wet sand and paint with the speakers and side panels

 Shipping from Australia. I'm more worried about the effects of having the phone in my front pocket all the time.
...Not sure if that's speaker wire or print filament. You would be pretty unstoppable with a printer.
I do need to slap together a work site boombox.

They weigh a bomb too! 12mm thick tops and back ! Hoping these will go lil deeper than the last ones :)

Yer that's filament ... lots of it too! :) Just ordered a second printer so spent last week setting up a new room for the print farm and trophy wall :D Once the second arrives they will both go up top of the shelf unit.

Still adding small touches but hoping to bring these sides to a finish this weekend, There's still a ton of prep and paint but hoping to combine both sets of speakers / stands , amp and side panels in one big paint session.

Some Real modding again back to speakers

One last spot putty before a final primer and paint tomorrow . Ive been listening to these for over a month now and they are truly run in and sounding sweet.... So it kinda hurts to rip em apart again. But they will be gunmetal grey by tomorrow night :)

Finally some paint to one side panel.... one to go!

Oh man, i was soooo tempted to leave em frosted.... but im totally blown away by how good these things look ... and sound ! ive built and owned a lotta good speakers over the last 40 years and these as far as near field listening speakers go.... are just intoxicating.

So i'll just spam up the pics but skip em and go right to the vid ....

I think the child labor laws might apply here.
