Hey Guys, Could someone help get my head around this issue? I currently have a N7 Z390 mainboard. I intend on getting an Aquaero fan controller. My understanding is that most RGB fans probably won't work from the mainboard. My assumption is that i can use the Aquaero fan controller to cover off the fan slopes and the cooling side. Do RGB fans come with 2 pigtails - one for speed/fan power and another for RGB? so therefore i can use a RGB controller through USB to control colour. *scratches head*
I can use the Aquaero fan controller to cover off the fan slopes and the cooling side - Yes Do RGB fans come with 2 pigtails - one for speed/fan power and another for RGB - Each fan normally has two sets of plugs, a standard 3 or 4 pin to run the fans, RGB connector for the bling (there are several types). Another option is to use a Aquacomputer QUADRO. 4 PWM fan output, RGBpx LED output (personally have never used this, but should allow some RGB control-YMMV). Molex from power supply, USB2 connection from motherboard.
I believe most are multi-tailed, so yes you get a 4-pin traditional PWM fan connector which you can connect to the Aquero, then deal with the RGB in a separate controller. ETA: Beaten to it
