Note that any mobo you get will need at least a B450, X470, B550 or X570 chipset to use this CPU, with a fully up-to-date BIOS. AMD have chosen not to update B350 or X370 boards for it (so far).

I just got this on ebay for a tenner, which was a total bargain. Some of you will know immediately what it is... for those who don't, any guesses?

Ooh never seen one, looks like a pencil sharpener or sex toy.

    Or both.

It's for pointy-making clutch pencil leads, the sort that you'd use for manual drafting.

Not a sniff on my Toshiba Rocket

For clarity, I haven't bought one but I had one back in the 80's, it might be in the loft somewhere!

We have a winner! The official name for these gizmos is "lead pointers", and this particular specimen was released in 1962. Unfortunately it won't sharpen any pencils, but it does a damned good job of pointing leads!

Got a couple of videography bits on Amazon lighting deals:
Motorised Camera Slider got £60 off
    [IMG]

Pair of RGB lights £45 off
    [IMG]
These are the 480LED ones, so not the brightest (they also do 530 and 660), but I already have a softbox light if I want something bright, these should work well for when that's too bright and to add mood lighting and a couple more light sources for shadow prevention.

Got a couple of backdrops, a frame and clips too. The black one I've got (which isn't particularly black[IMG] ) isn't quite wide enough, I often get bits in the corners of pictures of the wall, so got 7ft wide by 5ft tall (rather than 5x7) which should play nicer with the photography and filming.
