With PLA its easy, just have to glue parts together but i have to do some thinking how to put these pieces together. Steel rods is very good idea i have to look into it.
I use the same block, in black. But I must say that it looks really good in white! Also really like where you're taking this build!
Love it! You could use insets like the side grill to put the two halves together. -Say, one on the top and bottom to go with the side one, with an internal ledge that you could tap screws into. That and the above mentioned rods would make a fairly sturdy assembly. -If I confuse the heck out of you, let me know. Stuff I say in the morning often doesn't make sense.
Cool design, for some reason I've not thought of 3d printing an entire case like this, looks a lot better than I first thought it would. From the title of this build I was expecting it to be horror themed lol: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084787/. Great old film by the way if you've not seen it.
Here is pictures of the prototype almost ready. I dont have the components yet so i use old broken ones to test fit.
I have almost all of the design changes done. For the top and bottom i did make plates for holding the two parts together. I did forget to do power button so its next on my list and i think then i am ready for printing the final case.
Thanks. My workplace is closed for two weeks because of covid so i cant print the final case. Package from Alphacool arrived now i can start to practice hardline bending. Huge thanks to Alphacool for sponsoring this build
