So with have a mid range card with less power and more RAM than the higher end gaming cards? Makes sense.

Did Hexus steal bit's review sample again?

I was thinking it actually might make sense for some people. I am still finding my 1070 still plenty powerful enough for about 99% of games - the little handful of titles used for benchmarks and reviews are very specific exceptions to the rule that, these days, anything 1070 or better is kinda 'good enough'. However, the 1070 is old as balls now, while the 1600 family only have 6gb of vram. The 3060 12gb is quite a tempting midrange option because it's 'good enough' and also has enough vram to allow mid-budget gamers like me to contemplate 1440p. It's also underpowered enough to hopefully not be of interest to the crypto guys...

More memory but a lower bus.

I can't get excited about this tbh, it's alright but that's about it.

What does wind me up is a reviewer like Linus saying buy it anyway. I mean the reality of pricing and availability makes that sort of advice absolutely stupid.

If I was F5ing for anything right now it'd be a PS5, the gpus are just not worth what they're selling for.

Yep, plus by the time you can actually buy it at a reasonable price the RTX 4xxx / RX 7xxx cards will be very close either way.

I'm not excited either. This is a nice every man card that no man will be able to buy. I kinda get what Linus says, but he sits a premium bubble where he gets everything coz people watch his reviews.

As to F5ing stuff. I've given up. I wont take part in this circus. If anyone wants to then knock yourself out. But I'm gonna just scale back my desires and MAYBE actually dig into my backlog. I know! Shocking!
