Wow! That's bonkers. I regret not buying the FE 3090 months ago when I had the chance - but I couldn't justify £1399 at the time. My 3070 is slowly mining away re-couping some of my investment.... £500 to go

i can pick up a PNY XLR8 3060Ti 8GB for about £470 is it worth it ? i game at 1080 but might upgrade to 1440 at some point, just thinking is the 8GB enough i dont usually upgrade for 2-3 years so paying a big chunk of cash like this needs to be well spent.
If you aren't fussed about 4K then the 8GB won't be a problem. In the current market £470 for a 3060TI is a good deal.
There was a FE drop at around 09:10 this morning, but any attempt to go to Scan's page gave an "Access Denied" error from Cloudflare!

And i just had a thought, there's an easy was to overcome all of these bots and the like, only allow purchases from accounts older than 2 years... Nvidia could do it via Geforce Experience account, only allow FE to be bought with accounts older than 2 years. Instantly you can halt multiple purchases, scalping, and bots. Hacking of accounts would sky rocket however...
Overclockers still has some 3090s if you are desperate to say goodbye to 2400+ of your finest quid...
Not happy with that solution. Some of us game quite successfully by installing the raw drivers instead of Geforce Experience bloatware.
Same, but 1080. I used to dual boot, hence the "raw driver" comment, but since I got Star Citizen working with Lutris (It installs via a script from Lutris' site), I don't bother anymore. The Windows partition still exists (for now).
It wouldn't stop that,, there would just be a million accounts belonging to the same handful of addresses. Have a bot to buy, have the bot create unique accounts too. Short of having people physically turn up to collect their cards and present photo ID I don't see how to stop scalpers. Only a crash in the price of crypto will stop them.
When the silicon market comes back to normality, will the prices? Or will some of us be left in the cold because some people pay those dumb prices?
