F**k me with a rusty spatula... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57879730 They really never fail to u-turn on absolutely everything.
Compared to the neck pain caused by the head spinning from trying to keep up with the current Gov it be naught but a well lubed finger.
I can see it now coming soon to an area near you, mandatory buttplugs to stop the spread of Covid https://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/19469829.government-fears-covid-spread-farting/
We are all going in the chain gang for wrong think anyway... so avoiding flatulence just seems like a good idea in general as there will be no way to stay out of each others smell range
Most people's butts are covered with a butt mask, aka underpants or similar. So it should be fine for most. Butt it could be a serious concern on building sites.
Just put a balloon up yer @rse, when it's full you can release it outside! On the other hand, what makes them think Sars-CoV-2 is going to be able to get through the human digestive system, with it's enzymes and hydrochloric acid, in one piece, without having specifically evolved to do so? Viruses are, by and large, very delicate.
Gastro-intestinal infection via contaminated food surfaces is most definitely a risk for sars-cov-2, it's just very very low risk compared to respiratory infection. This is why, scientifically speaking, there's less of an emphasis on obsessive handwashing and hand sterlisiation than face coverings. Although please keep cleaning your hands, you grotty ****s: even when we're not in a pandemic I am disgusted by thought of having to grab something that has been touched by hundreds of other people with their filthy unwashed hands. The number of people who don't wash their hands after using the toilet, even after the biggest most disgusting dump of their life, is utterly sickening!
Value it or lose it: NHS drops from first to fourth among rich countries’ healthcare systems | NHS | The Guardian
It was inevitable after the way we handled the pandemic, for the first year primarily everything non COVID related was placed on the backlog. Now the NHS has to deal with that backlog, and more harrowingly the fall out from not catching early diagnosis of many ailments. By focussing, almost solely, on COVID cases the NHS has created a rod for it’s own back.
Focussing on large numbers of, frequently, seriously ill patients, saving many thousands of lives in the process, was only the straw that nearly broke the camels back. The Tories cutting funding below the level needed to maintain the service, relentlessly since 2010, meant the NHS did not have the staff and resources required to cope better with the pandemic. The NHS was created by Labour and the Tories have never liked that. Give them half a chance and they would introduce a system like the US, where the poor simply cannot afford decent health care and private health companies make a fortune.
