I'll believe it when I see it. More likely to be fake or nothing of importance - but we shall see. Given the immense complexity of graphics cards these days - new entries to the market are very unlikely (given the huge cost of entry). My first ever graphics card was a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI... that was a long time ago
If true, Nvidia just opened a gold mine. Retro vibes and brand loyalty/favouritism will sell dozens of cards alone! So, basically a few monthly deliveries.
Guessing someone bought the branding from someone and plans to slap it on something generic to cash in on the nostalgia market.
I haven't been able to find anything that indicates a change of ownership for the 3dfx brand name, so it seems to still be with Nvidia.

I read about this somewhere else a day or two ago. The image was traced back to a Pinterest account. Seems about as likely to be genuine, as the next Mercs S Class having square wheels.
Could be worse, although it's a much maligned EVGA blower cooler model, at least MY GTX 970 works. LAN Dave's snazzy MSI red & black GTX 970 with better cooling went pop last year. He's running my spare GTX 1050Ti, courtesy of @Goatee and one of his clear outs. I wonder what the long term rental fees should be for keeping him gunning? A GTX 4060Ti perhaps??
