The toilet is from the Bau range, but I've gone for a Euphoria shower handset and ceiling head, it seems that as with everything if you want something specific you have to spend ages putting it together yourself :sigh:

One defective H80i v2, and one supposedly functional H80i v2

Best case, I can make the defective one work and have a spare AIO.

Worst case I get a dual 120 rad H80i for the new ESX server, which should shut that noisy ******* up a bit.

Silverstone Redline RL08. Not even unpacked it yet, as it will be painted a different colour. The red is awful, but this is an end of life product and I was lucky to get this at all.

Nothing to put in it yet, but as I said... it was now or never.

I was passing a Currys this morning, decided I would waste some time by popping in to query PS5 stock status as I've been thinking of swapping the PS4 out eventually at a time when buying a PS5 is something grounded in reality.
I asked the man at the till, in a tone that suggested I knew I was taking the piss, and he says "yeah, you can have this one if you want", in a tone that made me think he too was taking the piss, and pointing to a box behind the counter. Except he wasn't. And I walked away with a PS5 to my absolute surprise and delight.

They had a delivery of 56 last night, and when I turned up 25 minutes after opening there were 6 remaining, can't beat a spot of right-place-right-time.

£250 of "government charges" (import VAT, I'm assuming) on the Stupid Hipster Laptop. And I'mma have to spend this morning on the blower to UPS, 'cos I have no idea if they've properly linked it to my EORI number so I'll get a C79 - 'cos if I don't get a C79, I can't claim the VAT back...

    EDIT:
Rang UPS. First person I spoke to had never heard of an EORI number, so that was a good start. Transferred me elsewhere, and I've been assured that the import VAT has been lodged with my EORI number and will generate a C79 - in the least reassuring way possible, by someone who sounded a lot like they were agreeing with me to get me off the phone rather than because they knew what they were saying was true.

I guess we'll see what's what when the C79s are generated...

A couple of copies of 'Now that's what I call Dad Rock' for a couple of friends who are, in fact, also fathers. Well. One is twice over, one nearly is.

No idea if they like the content, it just seemed like a good gag gift for some actual dads.

And today in things that grind my gears, people who say "I'm going to be a dad/mum again" when having a second+ child.

No. You are going to be a dad still. You were a dad, you will continue to be a dad.

I'm not saying this is what you're doing. I'm just saying reading this made me grind my teeth thinking about it. That is all.

Any time someone says 'again' I just figure they're throwing the first one away, like they made an oops and are starting again.

Twice over, here, was my interpretation that two kids takes a minimum of more than one dad effort, perhaps less than two dad efforts, but definitely more than one.

Our old kitchen has been decimated so hoping they have it ready in time..

Replaced a folding-leg miter saw stand with a miter saw stand with wheels from Bosch.

One of the better purchases I've made in a long time.
