Submitted 3 papers earlier to complete two assignments

For the first two modules in the first year of an undergraduate degree... god that was harder than it needed to be!

    Cheers.

The degree is BSc Applied Data Science, and the two modules I finished before Christmas (and submitted assignments for) were Principles of Programming and Data Communication. In principle they should be piss easy for a Senior Data Engineer, but the assignments were a total ballache.

On to Introduction to Data Science and Mathematics for Computing next week - joy!

    Good luck with it!

That was definitely the module I was most comfortable with, and I found that assignment the easiest to do.

The most challenging part is that I find it really difficult to set realistic goals. I treated both assignments as if they were real pieces of work I'd be expected to do in my job, and that was way more than what's required for year 1 of an undergraduate degree!

Didn't exactly help my cause by deciding early on to use LaTeX to do written assignments. I'm glad I did that, it's something I've been interested in learning for a while, but it definitely added extra unnecessary pressure!

    lol, touch.

Just before Christmas I got angry that talktalk were suddenly charging mum £64 a month for what she was paying £44 for before. Usually they call, get you in another contract, but offer the same or better price. None of that, greedy buggers. So I thought sod it. She was too worried about everything going on, but I was getting annoyed. So I switched her over to Plusnet. No TV package, so it's less than £40 a month. With the deal we were going to get a pre paid master card for £50 or something. Sweet, I will nick that :D

Then it arrived and of course, dullard here didn't realise it would have her name on. Bugger ! rumbled :D I had to fess up. I said I was going to take it because of all of the BS switching, setting up ETC. She told me to F off. Rightly so I suppose :D

Any way the next day she must have had a think and said go ahead and have it. Sweet !! Finally got around to activating it today. Was a total pain in the balls. I suppose they hope you won't bother. Any way, finally after about 5 tries it activated. Check balance.... £100.

    :D

Straight on Amazon, four more 8gb DDR4 sticks (this time 3200) for £100 exactly :D

To the server you must go !

Been approved for a Credit Card what for 0% switching balance purposes.
Not such a great thing, but my credit has always been questionable so I never gave applying any mind in the past, but at 48 I reckoned it was worth a punt.

Flip side of the coin, they've given me a rather healthy credit limit, which will be a bugger not to blow on coke n whores.

    Ask away. :hehe:

I work in fashion retail so I'm basically surrounded by horny 20-year-old uni girls in leggings all day.

Also I'm way better talking to and charming girls now than when I was 20, so... these are the benefits?

Job has its perky. I mean perks!

TBF I'm kinda in charge and I don't discourage this behaviour.

Bit of a sweet and sour morning. Rejection email for a treasury job with DPD, which would have been a good whack of cash and just 2 train stations down the line. Said my "recent" experience didn't match . But then call from a recruiter that I've got an interview for somewhere else, town centre, maybe a more variable and interesting job for a biomass technology company.
